Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and had your first stroke.
  • The stroke happened within the last week (give or take a few days).
  • You can walk but it's difficult or unsteady because of the stroke (a FAC score of 4 or less).
  • You didn't have any other nerve or bone problems before the stroke that already made walking hard.
  • You don't have a severe health condition like serious heart or lung disease, or osteoporosis.
