Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You are scheduled for planned (elective) abdominal surgery.
  • Your physical health is rated ASA I, II, or III (generally healthy to mild/moderate disease).
  • You have no history of unstable blood pressure before surgery.
  • You are not allergic to ephedrine, phenylephrine, or norepinephrine.
