Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for a planned (not emergency) surgery.
  • Your general health is good or fairly good (ASA class 1 to 3).
  • You have a healthy body mass index (BMI between 18.5 and 29.9).
  • Your memory and thinking are generally fine (MMSE over 23).
  • You do not have a pacemaker or any reason you cannot have an MRI.
