  • Child must be 1 to 18 years old.
  • Must have a confirmed genetic diagnosis of pyruvate dehydrogenase complex deficiency (PDCD).
  • Must be followed by a metabolic doctor for their PDCD.
  • Must already be on a ketogenic diet (a special high-fat, low-carb diet).
  • Cannot be pregnant, breastfeeding, or in another treatment trial.
