Who can take part

  • You are over 18 years old
  • You have just been admitted to the ICU (within the last 24 hours) and are expected to stay at least 2 days
  • You have risk factors for acute kidney injury (as defined by your doctor)
  • You are not pregnant
  • You do not have severe chronic kidney disease or need dialysis
  • You do not have a kidney transplant, kidney cancer, or blocked kidney blood vessels
