Who can take part
- You are scheduled for bladder removal surgery (radical cystectomy) for one of these reasons: muscle-invasive bladder cancer, BCG-resistant non-muscle invasive bladder cancer, or extensive non-muscle invasive bladder cancer that can't be treated with endoscopy alone.
- You are 18 years or older.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You are not allergic to any ingredient in the study's nutritional supplements (special immune-boosting drinks or high-protein, high-calorie shakes).
- You do not have severe diarrhea or a condition that stops your body from absorbing nutrients (malabsorption).
- You do not have poorly controlled diabetes (type 1, or type 2 requiring insulin or with high blood sugar levels).
