Who can take part
- You are scheduled for a planned liver surgery (not an emergency).
- You have been diagnosed with either hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) or intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC).
- Your complete medical records are available for review.
- You have not had a special two-stage liver procedure called ALPPS or a procedure to block a liver blood vessel (portal vein embolization).
- Your tumor has not ruptured (burst open).
- The surgery is only on your liver—no other organs (like stomach, intestines, or spleen) are being removed at the same time.
