Comparing two antibiotics for early PA infection in bronchiectasis

Who can take part

  • Age 18 or older
  • Diagnosed with bronchiectasis (widened airways) on a CT scan
  • Had a positive test for Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA) bacteria in your sputum or lung sample within the last 3 months, with another positive sample in the last 3 weeks
  • Either never had PA before, or have been free of PA infection for at least 1 year (confirmed by at least two negative tests in the past year)
  • Covered by French health insurance and able to give informed consent
  • Not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant (must use reliable birth control for 3 months)
