- You are between 18 and 35 on the body mass index scale
- You have been diagnosed with bronchiectasis confirmed by a CT scan, and have symptoms like cough, mucus, or frequent chest infections
- In the last year, you had at least 2 lung infections needing antibiotics, or 1 infection that put you in the hospital, or you had 0-1 infection and score low on a quality-of-life respiratory questionnaire
- You produce sputum (phlegm) regularly
- Your lung function test (FEV1) is 30% of normal or higher after using a rescue inhaler
- You are a non-smoker or quit smoking, and if you are a woman and could become pregnant, you agree to use very effective birth control
