Brain stimulation for stubborn anxiety

Who can take part

  • You must have at least moderate anxiety (score above 16 on a standard anxiety questionnaire).
  • You have tried one type of treatment (talk therapy or medication) that didn't help enough.
  • Your anxiety medications must be the same dose for 4 weeks before and during the trial.
  • You cannot be pregnant, and must avoid pregnancy during the study.
  • No metal implants or other medical devices that make TMS or MRI unsafe.
  • No recent use of ketamine, esketamine, or ECT (last 4 weeks) and no TMS in the last 3 months.
