Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 3 and 18 years old.
  • Your child must have had laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for complicated appendicitis (where the appendix had a hole, infection pocket, or swelling).
  • Your child must be able to walk and move around without help.
  • Your child should not have a doctor's order to limit physical activity for more than 2 days after surgery.
  • Your child and you must speak English or Spanish.
