Who can take part

  • Your baby must be born at your study hospital at less than 25 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Your baby must be admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
  • Your baby must not have a known skin condition present at birth.
  • Your baby's gestational age must be known before birth.
  • Your baby's intensive care must not have been redirected (comfort care only) before the study starts.
  • You must agree to allow your baby to participate.
