Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with lupus (SLE) and have active kidney inflammation (lupus nephritis).
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You are willing to take the medicines mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) and corticosteroids as part of the study.
- You have had a kidney biopsy showing certain types of lupus nephritis (Class III, IV, or V) within the last 2 years.
- You have a high level of protein in your urine (a sign of kidney damage).
- You are not pregnant and agree to use reliable contraception during the study and for 3 months after.
