Magnetic Seizure vs. Electric Shock for Depression

Who can take part

  • Have a diagnosis of major depression (MDD) from a doctor
  • Be between 18 and 65 years old
  • Currently take one antidepressant at a steady dose
  • Have no metal implants, pacemakers, or cochlear implants in your body
  • Not have had brain stimulation treatments (like ECT or TMS) in the last 6 months
  • Not be pregnant or breastfeeding
