Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 64 years old.
  • You have a fracture of the back part of your hip socket from a recent hip dislocation, confirmed by X-ray or CT scan.
  • Surgery to fix the fracture happens within 2 weeks of your injury.
  • You were able to walk before the fracture, even if you used a cane or walker.
  • You are healthy enough for surgery and can give consent (or have a guardian who can).
  • You do not have other serious hip or bone problems, previous hip surgeries, or infections near the hip.
