Compare hip surgery methods for new pelvic bone fractures

Who can take part

  • You are 60 years old or older
  • Your hip socket bone (acetabulum) fracture is new (within 3 weeks) and “displaced” (at least 2 mm)
  • The fracture is only on one side (not both sides)
  • You were able to walk before the injury (with or without walking aids)
  • You need surgery, either socket repair (ORIF) or hip replacement with repair (THA+ORIF)
  • You can consent and read/understand English
