Who can take part
- You are 19 years old or older.
- You have a condition like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, or another disease that requires long-term NSAID treatment (at least 24 weeks).
- You have at least one risk factor for developing a stomach ulcer (for example, being over 65, taking blood thinners or steroids, or past ulcer history).
- You can undergo an upper endoscopy (a tube with a camera placed down your throat to look at your stomach).
- You do not currently have an active or healing stomach or duodenal ulcer.
- You have not had cancer (except some skin cancers) in the last 5 years.
