This study looks at why some people with inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's or ulcerative colitis) do not respond to certain biologic treatments. Researchers will use advanced testing (multi-omics) to better understand treatment response. If you are starting or have just started treatment with infliximab, adalimumab, vedolizumab, or ustekinumab, you may be able to join.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis).
  • You are about to start or have started treatment with one of these medications: infliximab, adalimumab, vedolizumab, or ustekinumab. (Being on it for less than 3 months is okay.)
  • You are not currently taking antibiotics, and you haven't taken antibiotics or probiotics in the past month.
  • You do not have any other active autoimmune diseases (like lupus or rheumatoid arthritis) or an active tumor.
