  • You are between 18 and 64 years old
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 25 and 40
  • You have been newly diagnosed with fatty liver disease and have not been treated for it yet
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You do not have any other chronic diseases
  • You have not smoked, used alcohol, or taken certain medications or supplements in the last 3 months to a year
