Who can take part

  • Be age 18 or older
  • Have confirmed non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, or be a healthy control with no liver disease
  • If you have diabetes, it must be type 2 (not type 1)
  • Avoid other liver diseases (such as hepatitis, autoimmune liver disease, or iron overload conditions)
  • Not be pregnant, and avoid alcohol above set limits
