Who can take part

  • You had a tibial plateau fracture (a break in the top part of your shinbone) between 2001 and 2015
  • You live or lived in Norrbotten, a region in northern Sweden
  • You must have had a special X-ray of both your knees at least 5 years after the injury
  • You did not have knee osteoarthritis before your fracture
  • You do not have a rheumatic disorder that affects your joints
  • You have not had other severe injuries to the same knee before or after the fracture
  • You are able to understand and follow study instructions
