Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with diabetic kidney disease (DKD) by a doctor.
  • You do not have a malignant tumor, active infection, or a life expectancy under 1 year.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You can have an MRI (no metal implants, no severe claustrophobia, no severe heart rhythm issues).
  • Your kidney function is not severely reduced (eGFR above 15, and you are not on dialysis).
