Who can take part
- You have acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that has not been treated yet.
- Your AML cells have the CD123 protein (any level is fine).
- You cannot have standard strong chemotherapy because you are 75 or older, or you are 18 to 74 and have other health issues like heart, lung, kidney, or liver problems.
- Your performance status (how well you can do daily activities) is 0 to 2 if you are 75 or older, or 0 to 3 if you are 18 to 74.
- You have not received any prior treatment for your AML, including certain drugs or a stem cell transplant.
- Your leukemia has not spread to the brain or spinal cord.
