Who can take part

  • You must have a confirmed type of rectal cancer called adenocarcinoma that is locally advanced (stage II or III).
  • Your tumor must be microsatellite stable (MSS) or proficient mismatch repair (pMMR) – a test your doctor can do.
  • You should be in good enough health to carry out daily activities (ECOG score 0 or 1).
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding, and if sexually active you must agree to use contraception.
  • You must not have had prior surgery or radiation for rectal cancer, or certain other medical conditions as listed in the full criteria.
