This study tests whether combining a slow breathing technique (4-7-8 method) with stationary cycling can improve your blood pressure, quality of life, and shortness of breath after heart bypass surgery. It is for people who are recovering well and ready for a supervised exercise program.

Who can take part

  • You had coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG) without any problems during or after the operation.
  • You are between 40 and 70 years old.
  • You are in phase 2 of cardiac rehab (a supervised recovery program for your heart).
  • You have stable chronic heart failure, no irregular heartbeats, and are able to walk and use a stationary bike.
  • You do not have serious health issues like severe kidney disease, uncontrolled diabetes/high blood pressure, recent cancer treatment, or joint problems that limit movement.
