Osteopontin gene and stroke risk in Egypt

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old (for stroke patients) or over 18 (if you are a healthy volunteer).
  • You have had a stroke with symptoms that started within the last 24 hours, or you had a stroke 3 to 6 months ago.
  • If you are a healthy volunteer, you have no history of stroke or other major health problems.
  • You do not have heart disease, heart failure, chronic inflammation, a brain tumor, or a bleeding disorder.
  • You do not have severe liver or kidney problems.
