Who can take part
- You are scheduled for a planned lobectomy (lung), esophagectomy (food pipe), or gastrectomy (stomach surgery).
- You are 17 years or older.
- You are not pregnant.
- You do not have atrial fibrillation (a fast, irregular heartbeat) at the start.
- You do not have any metal in your body that would prevent a heart MRI (like a pacemaker or aneurysm clips) or conditions like severe high blood pressure that make the stress test unsafe.
