  • You are receiving chemotherapy for a solid tumor cancer (like breast, colon, or lung cancer).
  • You do not already have neuropathy (nerve damage causing numbness, tingling, or pain in your hands or feet).
  • You do not have a psychiatric illness (like severe depression).
  • You do not have diabetes that has lasted more than 10 years.
  • You do not have kidney or liver disease.
