- You have been diagnosed with an acute type I aortic dissection that requires surgery on the aortic arch.
- You are between 20 and 65 years old.
- Your symptoms started within the last 14 days before surgery.
- You do not have certain anatomical variations in your aorta or branch arteries that would prevent the stent from fitting.
- Your dissection is not caused by a prior aortic surgery or a condition like Marfan syndrome.
- You do not have severe organ damage (like stroke, paralysis, or kidney failure) from the dissection, uncontrolled infections, or other life-threatening illnesses.
