Who can take part

  • You have a new tear in the upper part of your main artery (aorta) that happened within the last 30–90 days.
  • The tear can be fixed with a stent graft placed through a blood vessel in your leg.
  • Your aorta must be between 27–48 mm wide at the landing zone, and the landing zone must not have heavy calcium or blood clots.
  • You are considered high-risk for open-heart surgery due to age (80+), severe obesity, lung disease, prior heart surgery, frailty, or other major health problems.
  • You do not have a mechanical heart valve, severe aortic valve leak, active infection, or other medical conditions that would make the procedure unsafe.
