Brain stimulation for schizophrenia symptoms

This study compares two types of mild brain stimulation—tACS and tDCS—to see if they can help reduce symptoms of schizophrenia. It is for people who have had moderate to severe symptoms for at least two years and are on stable medications.

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with schizophrenia for more than 2 years.
  • Your symptoms are moderately severe to severe (based on a doctor's rating).
  • You have been taking the same dose of antipsychotic medication for at least 1 month.
  • You are between 18 and 60 years old.
  • You are right-handed.
  • You do not have metal in your head, implanted brain devices, or recent scalp injuries.
  • You do not have other neurological diseases.
