Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes based on standard blood sugar tests (fasting glucose ≥126 mg/dL, or A1c ≥6.5%).
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • Your diabetes is not well controlled (A1c between 6.5% and 10.5% in the last 3 months).
  • You are either not on diabetes medication or are already taking any anti-diabetic drugs (pills or insulin).
  • You are willing to follow dietary guidelines during the study.
  • You do not have type 1 diabetes, are not pregnant or planning pregnancy, and have no severe organ disease or allergies to kudzu.
