Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for at least 8 weeks.
- You have not taken any diabetes medications in the past month, and you've used them for at most 2 weeks total in the last 3 months (or you've only used diet and exercise to control your blood sugar).
- Your hemoglobin A1c is between 7.0% and 10.5%, and your fasting blood sugar is below 13.9 mmol/L.
- You do not have serious diabetes complications, heart disease, or other conditions that could interfere with the study.
- You are willing to follow the study plan and sign a consent form.
