Herbal granules for new type 2 diabetes patients

This study tests two herbal granules (Fuling Yunhua and Dihuang Baoyuan) to see if they help control blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes who have not yet taken diabetes medication. You will be randomly assigned to one of the granules or a placebo for several weeks, and your blood sugar will be monitored closely.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for at least 8 weeks.
  • You have not taken any diabetes medications in the past month, and you've used them for at most 2 weeks total in the last 3 months (or you've only used diet and exercise to control your blood sugar).
  • Your hemoglobin A1c is between 7.0% and 10.5%, and your fasting blood sugar is below 13.9 mmol/L.
  • You do not have serious diabetes complications, heart disease, or other conditions that could interfere with the study.
  • You are willing to follow the study plan and sign a consent form.
