Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have a type of esophageal cancer called squamous cell carcinoma that cannot be removed by surgery.
  • Your first cancer treatment stopped working or caused too many side effects.
  • You have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan.
  • You are generally well enough to be up and about (able to do light activity) and your vital organs are working well (liver, kidneys, blood counts).
  • You have not had irinotecan or liposomal irinotecan before as part of your first treatment.
