Switching from donor milk: a feasibility study

Who can take part

  • Your baby must weigh more than 1,250 grams (about 2 pounds 12 ounces).
  • Your baby must be at least 28 days old.
  • Your baby must be getting donor human milk (with or without your own breast milk).
  • Your baby cannot have had a serious bowel condition like NEC (necrotizing enterocolitis) or a hole in the intestine.
  • Your baby cannot have major birth defects (congenital anomalies).
  • Your baby's birth weight cannot be below the 5th percentile (meaning they were very tiny for their age).
