Feeding methods for very early preterm babies

Who can take part

  • Your baby was born before 29 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Your baby can safely be fed through a tube or bottle (enteral feeding).
  • You are willing to provide breast milk.
  • Your baby has not already received donated breast milk or special preterm formula in the hospital.
  • If your baby is currently fed only with preterm formula, you plan to start expressing breast milk.
