CMV reactivation in ICU patients on ventilators for a week or more

Mechanical Ventilation

Part of Lungs & breathing clinical trials.

This study looks at whether a common virus called cytomegalovirus (CMV) becomes active again in ICU patients who need a breathing machine for a week or more. It may help doctors understand who is at risk and how to better care for them.

CMV virus reactivation in kids after stem cell transplant

This study looks at how often a common virus (CMV) becomes active again in children after a stem cell transplant from a donor. It will help doctors understand more about this risk and how to manage it.

NCT06058858Recruiting
CMV reactivation after CAR-T cell therapy for leukemia or lymphoma

This study looks at how often a common virus called CMV reactivates—meaning it becomes active again—in patients who receive CAR-T cell treatment for leukemia or lymphoma. It aims to understand the risks and help doctors better manage care.

NCT04030676Recruiting
Test for CMV reactivation risk during ulcerative colitis flare

This study checks whether a blood test (QuantiFERON-CMV, related to prior CMV infection) can predict if CMV might reactivate during a severe ulcerative colitis flare. It may help doctors spot people at higher risk and potentially guide monitoring and treatment during hospitalization.

Immune markers in ICU patients with pneumonia

This study looks at how the immune system reacts in ICU patients on a ventilator who have pneumonia. By measuring immune markers, the researchers hope to better understand and predict complications like ventilator-associated pneumonia.

Immune status and ICU infections study

This study looks at how having a weakened immune system affects the risk of getting infections with hard-to-treat bacteria in the ICU. Depending on your immune status, you may be placed in a group that helps doctors understand who is most at risk.

CMV prevention after lung transplant based on immune status

This trial tests whether using a blood test that measures your immune system's ability to fight CMV (a common virus) can guide when to stop anti-CMV drugs after a lung transplant, aiming to prevent the virus from causing disease.
