- You are 18 years or older
- You have had vitreoretinal surgery (surgery on the back part of the eye)
- You do not have certain corneal problems (like dystrophy, ulcers, scarring, or an irregular surface)
- You have not had certain types of corneal surgery (like a corneal transplant or radial keratotomy) unless it was over 6 months ago
- You have not had a scleral buckle (a surgery that wraps a band around the eye)
