Who can take part
- You have been newly diagnosed with stage III or IVa head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
- You are scheduled to receive radiation therapy as your main treatment (with or without chemotherapy).
- You have never had radiation to your head or neck before.
- You have not had any previous treatment for head and neck cancer.
- You do not have a history of dry mouth (xerostomia) or prior major salivary gland surgery.
- You are not allergic to onabotulinumtoxinA (Botox) and have not had radioactive iodine therapy.
