Who can take part
- You must be 18 to 70 years old and in good enough health to be up and about (ECOG 0 or 1).
- Your cancer must be a type called head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, and it must be EGFR-positive (a protein found on the cells).
- You cannot have received any previous treatment for this cancer, like surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy.
- Your cancer must be at a stage that can be removed with surgery (stage III, IVA, or IVB for some types, or stage II/III for HPV-positive throat cancer).
- You must have adequate organ function (bone marrow, liver, kidneys, heart) and no active infections or other serious health issues.
