This study tests whether a personalized brain stimulation treatment (using a non-invasive technique called tDCS) can help reduce nerve pain in people with spinal cord injury. The researchers will also use EEG (a cap that records brain activity) to see how your brain responds.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have nerve pain (neuropathic pain) at or below your spinal cord injury level that has lasted at least 1 month.
  • Your average pain in the last 24 hours is at least 4 out of 10.
  • You are on a stable dose of a nerve pain medication (like gabapentin, pregabalin, or amitriptyline) for at least 2 weeks.
  • You do not have severe pain from other causes, a brain injury, epilepsy, or other neurological conditions.
