Who can take part

  • You have facial paralysis diagnosed as Bell's palsy, 'frigori' facial paralysis, or idiopathic facial paralysis (no known cause).
  • You have NOT had any previous physical therapy (kinesic treatment) for this condition.
  • Your facial paralysis started less than 6 months ago.
  • You do NOT have facial paralysis caused by a stroke (central facial paralysis).
  • You do NOT have any open wounds, cuts, or burns on your face that could interfere with electrical stimulation.
  • Your doctor has NOT advised against using electrical stimulation for your condition.
