Fasting and immune response in intensive care

This study looks at how a short period of fasting affects the body's immune system and metabolism in patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). It may help doctors understand how to better support patients during critical illness.

Nutrition study for children in the PICU

This trial looks at how nutrition is given to children in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), especially for those who stay longer than 3 days. The goal is to find better ways to support their recovery.

Continuous vs. intermittent tube feeding in ICU patients

This trial compares giving tube feeding continuously versus taking breaks to see which approach helps critically ill patients' metabolism better. It is for adults in the ICU who need a breathing tube and will be fed through a stomach tube.

DeliKet: Ketone drink for ICU patients on tube feeding

This trial tests a special diet drink (ketone body supplement) for ICU patients who are starting tube feeding. It looks at whether the drink can help the body use energy in a different way, possibly improving recovery.

Intermittent tube feeding for organ failure in the ICU

This trial tests if giving tube feeding at certain times of day, instead of continuously, helps people on breathing machines recover from organ failure faster. It is for patients who need a breathing tube and are receiving medicine to support their blood pressure.

Overnight feeding to improve sleep in ICU heart surgery patients

This trial studies whether planned overnight nutrition (through a feeding tube) can reduce sleep problems and daily body-clock disruption while you’re in the ICU after certain heart surgery. It may help you get more restful sleep and better regular “wake–sleep” timing during recovery.
