  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are getting a liver transplant for the first time, from a deceased donor, and only a liver (not another organ at the same time).
  • You do not have severe kidney problems before the transplant (your kidney function is better than a certain level).
  • You are not getting the drug basiliximab during your transplant.
  • You are not under legal guardianship or protection.
