Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 3 and 12 years old.
  • Your child must weigh 33.3 kg (about 73 pounds) or less.
  • Your child must be scheduled for an MRI scan.
  • Your child must not have any heart problems, like an irregular heartbeat or heart defect.
  • Your child must not have had problems with anesthesia in the past (or a family history of a serious reaction called malignant hyperthermia).
