  • You are a girl between the ages of 12 and 15.
  • You are overweight or obese based on your body mass index (BMI).
  • You have not been in any regular, organized exercise program (like sports teams or fitness classes) in the last 6 months.
  • You do not have any serious infections or inflammatory diseases.
  • You have regular menstrual cycles.
  • You are not taking any medications, hormone therapy, or dietary supplements.
