Deep learning study for gynecologic muscle tumors

Stump

Part of Cancer, Women’s health & pregnancy clinical trials.

This trial uses a computer to study tissue samples from uterine muscle tumors (like fibroids and rare cancers). The goal is to improve how doctors classify these tumors and predict patient outcomes.

Who can take part

  • You have a uterine smooth muscle tumor (such as a fibroid, a tumor of uncertain malignancy, or a leiomyosarcoma).
  • Your tumor information is recorded in the RRePS database or you were treated at Institut Bergonié or another participating center.
  • A tissue sample from your tumor (in a paraffin block or on a slide) is available for the study.
  • If you have a leiomyosarcoma or a tumor of uncertain malignancy, your follow-up information (how you did after treatment) is needed.
  • You are willing to let researchers use your stored tumor tissue for this study.

NCT02789384Recruiting
Study of tumor markers to predict chemotherapy benefit in sarcoma

This study looks at stored tumor tissue (or takes a new biopsy) to measure specific tumor markers. Researchers want to see whether these markers match how well chemotherapy works before surgery for soft-tissue sarcoma.

Bordeaux
NCT06521060Not yet recruiting
Tru-cut biopsy to guide surgery for unusual uterine growths

This trial tests whether a special biopsy (called a tru-cut biopsy) can help doctors better understand and manage unusual growths in the uterus that look like fibroids but may not be typical. It is for women who are already planning to have surgery for such a growth.

Prague
NCT03624712Recruiting
Improve prediction and treatment plans for uterine cancers

This study looks at better ways to predict disease and choose treatment for cancers of the cervix, endometrium (uterine lining), or uterine sarcoma. It may help patients by testing tools and treatment models that could guide care more accurately.

Tübingen
NCT04990076Recruiting
Ultrasound check of the uterine muscle during surgery

This study tests whether a specific way of describing ultrasound images of the uterine muscle (myometrium) matches what doctors see under the microscope after surgery. It may help improve how fibroids, adenomyosis, or other uterine problems are identified before and during hysterectomy.

Leuven
NCT06576362Not yet recruiting
Ultrasound-guided biopsy for uterine fibroids

This study tests a new way to take a small tissue sample from uterine fibroids using ultrasound guidance through the vagina. It aims to see if this method is safe and effective for diagnosing fibroid tumors before surgery.

NCT05245695Recruiting
Endometriosis test using deep computer learning during surgery

This trial studies whether a computer (deep neural network) can better identify endometriosis in people with long-lasting pelvic pain using information from surgery. It may help doctors sort who has endometriosis more accurately when surgery is already planned.
