Who can take part

  • You have chronic kidney disease (CKD), whether or not you are on dialysis.
  • You are currently taking a blood thinner (anticoagulant) for a reason like a blood clot in your leg or lung, a mechanical heart valve, or to prevent stroke from atrial fibrillation with risk factors.
  • You have not had a major bleeding problem or a family history of bleeding disorders.
  • You do not have serious liver disease that affects blood clotting.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you are able to give consent.
