Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 89 years old.
- You have chronic kidney disease (stage 3 or higher, with an eGFR of 78 or less).
- You have had a recent heart attack (either non‑ST‑elevation or ST‑elevation) and are scheduled for a procedure to open blocked arteries.
- If you are a woman of childbearing age, you must use reliable birth control or be postmenopausal.
- You are not taking blood‑thinning medications (anticoagulants) and have no other major bleeding risks.
- You do not have any of the following: insulin‑treated diabetes, active cancer, autoimmune disease, or a history of stroke within the last month.
