Who can take part
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You are scheduled for mitral valve surgery (repair or replacement).
- You have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation that comes and goes or is constant for at least 3 months.
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy in the next 6 months.
- You have not had previous heart surgery.
- You are not in another clinical trial or on active biological therapy.
